Monsoon Health Precautions for Families

Food and water safety is the priority. Avoid street food prepared with uncooked water during peak monsoon. At home, store water in covered containers, ensure vegetables are washed in clean water, and cook food thoroughly. Mosquito breeding in stagnant water causes dengue and malaria.

Keep your home dry and ventilated to prevent mould, which aggravates respiratory conditions. Children and older adults are most vulnerable to seasonal infections. Ensure vaccinations are current and watch for symptoms of leptospirosis if there has been contact with floodwater.
