A Simple Skincare Routine for Indian Skin Types

A three-step routine is sufficient for most people: cleanse, moisturise, and protect with SPF. A mild sulphate-free cleanser removes excess oil and pollutants. A lightweight non-comedogenic moisturiser maintains hydration. SPF 30 or higher applied every morning is the single most evidence-supported anti-ageing and pigmentation-prevention step.

Hyperpigmentation is a common concern for Indian skin. Vitamin C serum applied in the morning under SPF and niacinamide used morning or evening are well-evidenced for reducing dark marks over eight to twelve weeks of consistent use.
